When ordering from us, customers are provided with available shipping dates so they can select the most convenient delivery period. Once your scheduled shipping date arrives, all birds are carefully prepared and packaged according to current weather conditions to help ensure their comfort and safety during transit. Newly hatched chicks and young birds are securely boxed and shipped promptly through USPS Priority Mail to reduce travel time and maintain optimal health throughout the journey. Our packaging methods are designed to provide proper ventilation, warmth, and protection, giving each bird the best possible chance of arriving healthy and stress-free.
We understand how important it is for customers to receive healthy and active birds, which is why we closely monitor every shipment before it leaves our farm. Although we take every precaution possible, shipping live birds naturally comes with certain risks due to travel conditions and handling during transit. To help protect our customers against possible shipping losses, we include approximately 2% extra birds with every order whenever possible. For example, if you order 100 chicks, we may ship 102 birds to help account for any unexpected losses during transportation.
